Sunand Sharma Chairman Alstom India
59 years, B.E. (Mech.), Member of the Institution of Engineers. He has provided strategic advice to various leading global companies including Nokia Telecommunications Oy of Finland, Owens Corning Fiberglas Inc. of USA, Energy Developments Limited of Australia, Vialle Alternative Fuel Systems, Royal Cebeco Group of the Netherlands, GE Wind Energy of USA and Acciona Energia of Spain. In the ‘80s and ‘90s he led the Business Development effort of GE in India, working with teams from Aircraft Engines, Power Systems, Plastics, Medical Systems, Transportation and GE & RCA Licensing in establishing their India presence.
He is Chairman of the Northern Region of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and a Member of various Councils and Committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and of the European Business Group.

Tejpreet S. Chopra President and CEO, GE – India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, New Delhi, India
Tejpreet S. Chopra is the President and CEO of General Electric in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and is responsible for directing GE's strategies for growth in these countries.
Tejpreet’s 16 years of global management and finance experience was gained in various business roles held in France, England, Hong Kong, India and USA
Prior to assuming his current role, Tejpreet served as President & CEO of GE Commercial Finance in India. During his tenure he successfully restructured and expanded the business thereby establishing GE Commercial Finance as one of the premier financial institutions in India.
Since joining GE in 1996, he has held positions in marketing, structured finance and risk management, in Stamford and Hong Kong for GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS). In 2005, he moved from the unit's headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, to open GECAS’s office in Delhi. As Senior Vice-President and Country Head-India for GECAS, Tejpreet arranged over US$1 billion in financing for India's growing airline industry.
Tejpreet is involved in various industry associations. He is a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the National Executive Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), the Board of Directors of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC), the Young President’s Organization (YPO), and an active participant of the Aspen Global Leadership Network’s - India Leadership Initiative. Tejpreet has also spoken at a number of international conferences, including Asia Society’s CEO Forum Series in New York and LA, the Economist’s India Business Summit in London, the Wharton India Economic Forum, the HT Leadership Summit, and a number of aviation conferences. In 2008, he was named by Business Today as one of “India’s Hottest Young Executives”.
He graduated from The Lawrence School, Sanawar, and was awarded the Alumni award in 2007. Tejpreet holds a MBA degree from Cornell University and a B.A. Honors degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. Tejpreet resides in Delhi with his wife Itiva. He enjoys golfing and used to swim at the national level in India.Top

Arun K. Vora Former MD, Tata BP Solar
During the 42 years of his career, Mr. Vora worked at several management positions within Siemens India and the Tata Group. Mr. Vora established Tata BP Solar, a JV of Tatas and BP Solar and enabled its growth from 1 employee to over 600 direct employees, two world class manufacturing plants, over 110 million dollars of Revenues (including 70 million dollars of exports).
He served as a member of the Govt. of India advisory panel for Renewable energy policies and was extensively involved in formulating the solar energy policies and programs in the Indian sub-continent (India and neighboring countries). He retired in August 2006 as the Managing Director of Tata BP Solar and presently serves on the Board of several Tata Group companies like Tata International Ltd and Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd.Top

Ramana Nanda (Moderator) Assistant Professor of Business Administration
Ramana Nanda is Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. He currently teaches Entrepreneurial Management in the first year of the MBA program, and Entrepreneurial Finance in the executive education course: Launching New Ventures.
Ramana's research is focused on small business- and venture-finance and on the relationship between the capital markets and innovation. Related to this, he studies how government policy towards the financial sector impacts entrepreneurship, technology diffusion and productivity growth in the economy.
Ramana is a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for International Development at Harvard's KSG and a Research Associate at the Center for Corporate Performance in Denmark. He received his Ph.D. from MIT's Sloan School of Management and has a BA and MA in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge, U.K.
Prior to starting his Ph.D., Ramana was based in the London and New York offices of Oliver, Wyman & Company, where he worked primarily with clients in global capital markets as well as in small-business banking. He continues to advise startup ventures on their financing strategies, with a focus on the health care and clean energy sectors. He also works with philanthropic investors who use market-based solutions to address poverty and promote entrepreneurship in developing countries.
